i always carry a small notebook with me and i write about things that i think about, things that i see and pictures i couldn't take. as i'm trying to expand my english vocabulary it seemed like a good translation exercise.

middle of a field, standing like a pole, people dancing all around.
hanging to a cigarette butt and the repetitive boom of the speakers blowing and filling my mouth with hair.
maybe she moved away to go for a walk in the woods as she does sometimes.
perhaps i shouldn’t have come.

il y a un dragon qui rit
dans un coin de son estomac.
il a envie de dire
aux gens
de lui bouffer la chatte.
il sait pas trop d'où ça lui vient.
elle coiffe ses cheveux
en l'air
elle dit
la mort c'est comme un gros chat
qui fait ses pattes quand j'arrive
à la maison.
elle pense toujours à faire des nœuds.
